In Africa, there are 4,025,390 confirmed COVID-19 cases, with 107,523 deaths as a result of the pandemic.
The Africa Centre for Disease Control and Prevention (Africa CDC) confirmed the news, saying that nine African countries had registered over 100,000 confirmed Coronavirus (COVID-19) cases.
According to the survey, South Africa has reported more than 500,000 confirmed cases, totaling 1,528,414.
Morocco, Tunisia, Egypt, Ethiopia, Nigeria, Libya, Algeria, and Kenya are among the eight African countries that have registered between 100,001 and 500,000 cases.
According to the organisation, 23 countries reported between 10,000 and 100,000 cases, while 22 other AU members reported less than 10,000 cases.
According to the Africa CDC, in terms of reported cases, Southern Africa is the most affected area, followed by Northern Africa and Eastern Africa.
In terms of reported COVID-19 cases, Central Africa is the least affected African region.
