Tribute as Afenifere spokesman, Yinka Odumakin dies

Spokesman of Afenifere, a Pan-Yoruba sociocultural group, Yinka Odumakin is dead.

The human rights activist died early hour Saturday.

He reportedly died from COVID-19 complications.

Following the news of Odumakin’s death, family and friends started sending their tributes.

One of such tribute is from the Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Festus Keyamo, mourning the late Spokesman of Afenifere, Odumakin.

Keyamo in a tweet Saturday said Yinka’s death was a personal loss to him.

Reacting to the news of the death, Keyamo said, ”Yinka’s death is a personal loss to me. Himself & the wife, Joe, have been my long-time friends & allies. I knew them separately before they met & got married.

”I just called the wife’s line & they’re still at the hospital. My deepest condolences to Josephine & the Odumakin family.”
