Chelsea defender, Ethan Ampadu, has told the west London club he needs to play regular football next season.
Ampadu is currently on loan at Sheffield United from Chelsea.
The Wales international explained that he is yet to discuss his future with Chelsea manager, Thomas Tuchel, adding that he has already spoken to the Blues about the situation.
The 20-year-old noted that he must get regular playing time on the pitch in order for him to achieve his dreams.
“I haven’t really spoken to him [Thomas Tuchel],” Ampadu told YorkshireLive
“I have spoken to Chelsea a little bit here and there just to see how the seasons are going, nothing for in the future, they have their season to finish off, and we have ours.
“I need to be playing regular football, but I hope every footballer thinks that.
“That is your job, and that’s what you want to do, that is why you grow up having a dream. Wherever I am, I want to be playing football.
“We will have to wait and see what happens. I have dreams myself, that’s to play for one club, so we will have to wait and see.”
Ampadu is expected to return to Stamford Bridge at the end of the season when his loan spell at Sheffield expires.
