The Kano State Anti-Corruption Commission (KACC) has warned of a crackdown on oil companies that are pushing up prices.
The chairman of the commission, Barrister Muhuyi Magaji Rimin Gado, made this known at a press conference today the 13th of April following the onset of oil shortages in Kano State, due to the closure of some filling station.
He added that “the commission will continue to patrol the markets to investigate those who increase consumer spending”. According to Muhuyi Magaji.
Muhuyi Magaji Rimin Gado also called on the business community to be more lenient during the fasting month of Ramadan.
